About John Figueroa

John is a licensed real estate Agent and rancher in Bandera County. He and his wife, Kella, have been breeding registered Quarter Horses for over 25 years. Kella and John have one daughter, Morgan. Morgan recently graduated from St Mary’s University where she received her Law Degree. She competed in rodeos from the age of 5 until college where she was a member of the Sam Houston University Rodeo Team. Morgan now competes in Pro Rodeo.

With their focus on breeding cutting horses and barrel horses, they have been able to sell prospects for those performance events and have been very successful in the show pen. John has also devoted his time and energy to wildlife conservation and land management. When time permits, John shows cutting horses in sanctioned events.

With over 30 years in working in the public and private sector, John has worked with companies like Smith International, Workforce Development Boards in Corpus Christi and San Antonio where he was involved in workforce development and economic development. Early in his professional career he was a youth counselor with the State of Texas where he counseled with youth under the guardianship of the State. He is very interested in Youth and has served in organizations which fostered youth activities like Rodeo Associations and Youth Councils.  John is currently on the Board of the Bandera Community Foundation.

His real estate career has provided him with the opportunity to assist his customers and clients with his expertise, attention to their needs and confidentiality which they expect and deserve.
